Our Philosophy

At Shotmonster, we're not all about the photographs. Strange thing for a photo website to say, but it's true. While we strive to present the most exciting, professional-level images we can, our main concern is not the technical intracies of photography.

Shotmonster is about the fans, those of you who long to see well-shot, comprehensive galleries of your favorite bands in action. These pictures are for you.

Shotmonster is about the bands. For the more established acts these galleries are our way of saying "thank you." For the up and comers, its our way of saying "go get 'em!

Shotmonster is about personality. They don't always have to be rock gods. We want to put on display as many shades of personality as our favorite artists will show us, from ass-kicking, to introspective, to downright silly.

Shotmonster is about emotion. Our goal is to freeze forever those moments in time when a performer becomes truly lost in his or her music. We don't always get it, but that's what excites us. That's why we do it. We simply love music, and since we can't play for shit, we take pictures of people who can.
